As I am penning this, you all may have read reports in the media about Technopark being accorded top rating by CRISIL, the global analytical company. CRISIL has upgraded its rating of Technopark Thiruvananthapuram to ‘CRISIL A’ based on the latest review in June 2019. It is the first time Technopark is receiving such top rating in the last 10 years of ratings done by CRISIL. More importantly, CRISIL noted that it strongly believes that Technopark would continue to benefit from steady cash flow because of its diversified clientele, healthy debt protection metrics and liquidity. I thank all stakeholders who have supported us to achieve this fete, which is truly a defining moment for Technopark as it reflects the progressive track of financial stability of the Park in total. The ‘A’ rating assumes much significance as it is expected to attract more investments and help build confidence among financial institutions to support the State’s IT expansion plans in general and Technopark in particular.
While on this, let me congratulate team UST Global which has been recognised with two Stevie Awards® at the 17th Annual American Business Awards. The company was named a bronze winner in ‘Human Resources Team of the Year’ category and has won silver in ‘Technical Professional of the Year’ category. In yet another development, Pi Datacenters, a data center and enterprise cloud organisation, is setting up Kerala’s first Uptime Institute Tier-IV-certified data center at Infopark Kochi. I am sure the facility will usher in a new era especially for the government and public sector offices by offering a local centre for all their critical data. Indeed, a great milestone for Kerala’s IT industry, too.
Infopark-based ti Technologies has been acquired by RCG Global Services, a leading firm in the US with clientele across Fortune 500 companies. I believe the acquisition will expand RCG Global’s footprint in India by strengthening delivery capabilities and business outcomes in customer engagement and facilitating operational optimisation. The acquisition was announced recently at a function which I also attended along with Rob Simplot, CEO & President of RCG Global Services and Deepu Zacharia, Founder & CEO of ti Technologies. I wish all success to Innovature Technologies, which set up a new office space in Trans Asia Cyberpark in Infopark Phase 2, and the team behind 2Hats Logic Solutions, which opened office at the Jyothirmaya Building in Infopark Kochi Phase 2 recently.
Meanwhile, Cyberpark Kozhikode has become a happening place with 19 new companies setting shop in Sahya SEZ Building over the last year. Besides, a strong startup ecosystem is also being evolved across the Malabar Region with the active support of key stakeholders. Join me in congratulating Jijo Sunny, Aleesha John and Joseph Sunny, co-founders of Brew.com – a startup company from Cyberpark – for securing an investment of $1 million from Y Combinator, a US-based startup accelerator known for its long list of unicorn graduates.
My salute to all those individuals and institutions who have been felicitated on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day for their dedicated efforts towards promoting voluntary blood donation. I congratulate Tejus, Terumo Penpol and Kerala Blood Donors Society (KEBS) for their unrelenting efforts to make the blood banks in Thiruvananthapuram self-sufficient by the year 2020.
