Kochi: It’s bigger, better and back! RapidValue brings forth the second edition of their very successful flagship event from 2016, Hackathon. RapidValue is a global leader in digital transformation for enterprises, providing Mobility, Omni Channel and Cloud Solutions. The raison d’etre for the event is to function as a platform for programmers, application developers and people with technical backgrounds to collaborate and code a unique solution. For those looking for an outlet for self-expression and creativity through technology, Hackathon is the right destination.

Participants are expected to form teams around an idea (with the maximum number of members being 5) and try to code a solution based on Social, Mobile, IoT, Analytics, Big Data, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and/or mGovernance. The participants will be given 24 hours to bring their ideas into fruition by working with new technologies and bringing together tons of code. The ‘Integrated Startup Complex’ at Kalamassery is playing host for the event on the July 13 and 14.

Speaking of the event, Rinish K N, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), RapidValue remarks, “We are genuinely excited for the return of Hackathon and would like to witness what the participants have to offer this time. Our main motive has been to provide a platform for technical enthusiasts to showcase their creativity through technology. We are expecting the event to be as successful and generate more ideas as it did in 2016.”

Hackathon gives birth to several unhackneyed ideas that could be put into actual use by people from all over the world. The event that had given birth to two startup companies and created ‘Intrapreuners’ in few of the Infopark companies in 2016, is back in partnership with the ‘Kerala Startup Mission’ and ‘NASSCOM 10,000 Startups.’ The winning team goes home with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- while the first runner-up and second runner-up are awarded Rs. 20,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- respectively.

Hackathon will benefit those looking for an outlet for self-expression and creativity through technology, organisers said. “Hackathon gives birth to several unhackneyed ideas that could be put into actual use by people from all over the world,” according to Dr. Saji Gopinath, CEO of KSUM, which is Kerala government’s nodal agency for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.

So if you think you can whip up some codes and walk away with the cash prize, head out for registration at www.rapidvaluehackathon.com and the shortlisted candidates will be notified of the same. So come over and let your creativity flow!
