Ever wake up in the morning dreading the thought of going to work? That’s not the case for employees of Kochi’s Infopark-based ThinkPalm Technologies. A leading product engineering and software services company with focus on Enterprise, Communication and Mobility domains, the company has been recognised as among India’s top 50 Great Mid-Size Workplaces 2018 by Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW).
Kochi’s Infopark-based company awarded certificate by Great Place To Work Institute
In 2017, ThinkPalm was one among the Great Place to Work-certified organisations but this time, it has made it to the top 50 list of Great Places To Work among mid-size companies.
Great Place to Work® Institute is the Global Authority on Workplace Culture Assessment. Their proprietary and globally validated framework is considered the Gold Standard in workplace culture assessment and endorsed by over 10,000 organisations in more than 58 countries. In India, GPTW Institute studies more than 700 organisations every year and identifies the best as Great Place to Work – Certified Organisations.
The team of GPTW visited Infopark Kochi on August 14, 2018 and formally handed over the certificate to Manoj K P, Founder, Director & CEO, ThinkPalm Technologies. “The work environment at ThinkPalm is very different and vibrant. The emotional bonding between employees and management is such that it positively impacts their performance. A democratic leadership approach has helped us to create an empowered team,” says Manoj.
“This place is a perfect blend of professionalism with a personal touch. There is a sense of belonging to a larger family. Lots of learning, immense growth and plenty of smiles is what makes ThinkPalm a great place,” says Deepa H Somasundara, Senior Test Manager, ThinkPalm.
Stating some of the key success factors that helped their organisation attain this acclaim, Sangeetha Sreekumar, Senior Manager, HR & Administration, says, “We take the effort to know more about our employees, from their backgrounds to their hobbies, skill sets, family life etc., such that they can engage themselves at different levels.”
Manoj says the journey was not without roadblocks. “Understanding employees’ needs was not learnt in one day. Policies were rolled out step-by-step as it was important to focus on small things to bring about that big change. We collected feedback from employees at different levels on a continuous basis to modify our practices to make it what it is today. We are still exploring what better can be done to improve employee motivation.”
